Symbolism and meaning of the Willendorf Goddess:
The Goddess of Willendorf is the pregnant Mother Earth or the Earth Mother. She is the great womb from which all life emerges and to which it eventually returns. Her cycles of menstruation, pregnancy, birth and lactation are the cycles of the natural world, the Whole of which humanity is a part.
