About Us

Wellstone is a 40 year old family business with shop and offices beside our home here in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California.

All the designs and jewelry pieces you see on our website and in our catalog originate right here. It's a big website but it's just us. All California made, USA made.

Our Mission

It is our earnest desire to give life to symbol in such a way that our  symbolic jewelry will be truly meaningful and helpful to our many friends who wear it. To this end we use the highest quality materials we can find, working with them in a manner suitable to the purpose for which they are intended. Our business is an integral part of our life so our customers are our friends and our "competitors" are our associates and colleagues. We regard our business practices as part of our spiritual "practice."

Our History

 Wellstone Jewelry began in 1978 when we (Nadine and Tom) began doing the Renaissance Faire in Novato California selling quartz crystals and mineral specimens . Nadine would handle the crystals and stones and Tom did hand reading on straw bales at the side of the booth.  Tom was also teaching classes in Palmistry and  classes on using stones for healing and wanted his students to be able to wear crystals so before the second year of the fair Tom began to learn to make jewelry and got the opportunity to finally set some of the beautiful stones we sold and especially quartz crystals. We always worked in both silver and gold and were one of the first people to offer quartz crystal and natural stone pendants. The business gradually evolved into the placing of a larger emphasis on wholesale customers and we ended up with customers all over the world both wholesale and retail. We’ve always been grateful for our work and find it fulfilling and enjoyable to this day.
