Symbolism and meaning of the Coyote
In Native American stories,Coyote is sometimes an aspect of the creator,sometimes the trickster.Coyote represents that which cannot be tamed or controlled,that which is spontaneous,unpredictable and wild. In our own time Coyote has come to represent the spirit of the land itself. The Cactus on the back of the piece represents the unity and inseparability of Coyote and the land.
