Symbolism and Meaning of the Crannogh Jewelry
"Crannogh" was the Pictish word for the lovely thatched dwellings built on stilts over the lochs of Scotland. The Pict people inhabited Scotland from a very early time until and into the Celtic period. The design is taken from a needle found at an archaeological site in Northern Scotland.
