Symbolism and meaningof the Serpent Pentacle

The serpent is Ouroboros, a symbol of the wheel of time, forever eating its own tail while continually regenerating itself. The star is the pentacle, the ancient star of knowledge, representing wisdom, power and protection. The pentacle is sacred to the Earth Mother and is one of her signs.
